Dr. Uthman Alzuhairy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Qassim University. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Memphis in 2023. الدكتور عثمان الزهيري أستاذ مساعد في قسم اللغة الإنجليزية بجامعة القصيم، حاصل على الدكتوراه في اللغويات التطبيقية من جامعة ممفيس عام ٢٠٢٣.

His work explores language attitudes and ideologies, sociolinguistics, and second-language acquisition — with a particular focus on English-language education policy in Saudi Arabia and how parents and communities view teaching English to young learners. He has presented his research at leading international venues, including TESOL and the American Association for Applied Linguistics (AAAL). تتناول أبحاثه اتجاهات اللغة وأيديولوجياتها، وعلم اللغة الاجتماعي، واكتساب اللغة الثانية — مع اهتمام خاص بسياسات تعليم اللغة الإنجليزية في السعودية، وكيف ينظر الأهالي والمجتمع إلى تعليم الإنجليزية للأطفال. وقد قدّم أبحاثه في أبرز المحافل الدولية، منها مؤتمرا TESOL والرابطة الأمريكية للغويات التطبيقية (AAAL).
